Stuns and interrupts are your friend when fighting this guy.
Water Bolt ignore this, the damage is minimal. Can be reflected.
Torrent interrupt this or it will quickly kill you.
Rain Dance either avoid the points that it will hit (projected textures ftw) or stun him after he starts.

Fairly easy fight if you can interrupt him quickly enough.

Just killed him in the beta and drops Congealed Mist Amulet. Located in the Ambermarsh by one of the pools. Sorry don't have coordinates.

A difficult fight as a solo Shadow priest.

He always casts his abilities in this order:

Water Bolt - Hits about 30k. Painful, but not life threatening. Top your HP afterwards, just in case. I liked soaking it with Power Word: Shield/.
Torrent - Hits an absolutely massive amount of damage. Very deadly. Silence it when available, but he uses it 3 times for each of your silence cooldowns. I used Dispersion to soak the second, and Vampiric Embrace plus 3-orb plus Flash Heal spam to fill in the third. His 5th cast (when you will have no cooldowns available to handle it) serves as a berserk timer to the fight, needing 50k DPS to meet.
Rain Dance - Rains water bolts down, spewing out from his location. Keep moving, as each volley always fires one at your location, and take care not to move into the impact of a randomly-fired one (or into aggressive mobs). 2-3 hits will kill you from full. Hypothetically, this can be interrupted with CC, but he's immune to Psychic Scream and Psychic Horror. Take this opportunity to refresh Renew, and Prayer of Mending.

Additionally, he melees for about 10k. Keep your defenses up, dodge the rain, and above all, don't mess up dealing with Torrent. If you can't kill him in 5 cycles, it may be possible to survive beyond the 6th if you start the Torrent with full healing buffs and get a lucky flash heal crit. If you do, your mana bar will dictate the time limit. Good luck.

Edit: For those really having trouble with Torrent, you can root him with Void Tendrils and run out of range (40 yards; same as your spells) to give your other cooldowns time to recover, and also to heal up. You might also be able to use the trees nearby to line-of-sight his spells. Beware that he will just cast them again as soon as he sees you though; it'll only buy you a few extra seconds each time.

I tried to solo him on my 88 fire mage, but there were too many mobs respawning so i did not succeed.

It's not a hard fight, just kept stunning him and interrupting, used temporal shield when he was hitting me, never let him cast torrent, and stunned him during rain dance. Mirror images at start and max dps. If not for the constant respawning of mobs, it's soloable as a mage. I did have Life Spirit with me, for some extra heal :)

So i called two more players from general chat, and downed him with relative ease. He dropped the bag and Yaungol Mist-Shaman's Amulet .

Preparing for the fight
Can be relatively easily 2 manned, all you need is a Healer, and a DPS!

The main thing you have to remember is: Follow the tactics!

Before pulling him, you want to take out the Sprites around him.

The Phases
Phase 1: He will attack normally, and periodically cast Water Bolt.

Phase 2: He will stop moving, and channel an ability called Rain Dance, which is uninterruptable by conventional interrupts (like Silence, Counterspell or Kick)

Phase 3: After casting Rain Dance, he will channel Torrent on someone, this deals a substantial percent of the targets HP in damage per second for 6 seconds, after doing this about 20minutes ago, the percentage was 19% per second, not the 28% shown here, although admittedly, that could have been because of Shadow forms damage reduction, im not 100% positive!
Remember, Torrent is INTERRUPTABLE, so ignore interrupting Water Bolt, and save interrupts for this ability!

The Fight
Eshelon will go through his phases in an obvious, predictable order.

When pulled, he will be in Phase 1, after casting his Water Bolt spell a couple of times, he will enter Phase 2, during which all participating players NEED to KEEP MOVING, and avoid the area were the bolts are landing, people should NOT stop moving until the final bolt has landed, just incase, after this effect has ended, he will enter phase 3, and channel Torrent on a player, i believe this is random depending on who is attacking him, as during our 2 man fight, the healer got this channeled on him also.
After he has finished channeling Torrent, he will reset back to Phase 1, and begin this Cycle again until he dies!

I found Eshelon at 66.4 86.8. As an 88 BM Hunter, I would recommend having your pet be a tank. Keep Mend Pet up at all times. Freeze trap does not work so use scatter shot and intimidation to stun during Torrent. It was pretty difficult as your relying on your pet because if it goes down....run. I recieved http://www.wowhead.com/item=87626. ALSO right behind this rare in the little opening in the cliff is the http://www.wowhead.com/item=86472. (Sorry about the links! I'm not sure how to post just the names :/ )

All Jinyu rares have the same set of abilities.

Water Bolt is interruptable, but the damage is negligible in comparison to Torrent. Save your interrupts for Torrent.

Torrent is a channeled spell with a cast time. This spell will kill you in very short order, so interrupt it during the cast time.

Rain Dance is a Jinyu rare's most deadly ability, capable of one-shotting an equal level player if hit. It has a cast time and channel and is immune to interrupts, but can be stopped by stuns or knockbacks. However, save these until after the Jinyu has completed the cast and begun the channel, or it will just start casting the spell again after the effect wears off.

Somewhat easy to solo as a lvl 89 Feral Druid.

Make sure Berserk, Survival Instincts and Renewal are ready to use. Having Life Spirit/Lifebloom/Healing Potions help a bit.

Go into prowl and Pounce on the target. Start DPS. Use Tiger's Fury when you're low on Energy - this fight is not a DPS race, it's about surviving.

Use Skull Bash to interrupt Torrent ONLY. (You can also use Maim if you lose your cool like I did and used Skull Bash on Waterbolt). Use Maim/Mighty Rush (if selected) at the end of Rain Dance or as soon as it's cast to interrupt it. Also, Nature's Grasp comes in handy if you need some distance to Rejuv, Bandage, etc. Also, you don't always have to interrupt Rain Dance. Use it as an opportunity to run away and cast Rejuv, just don't stop to put on Healing Touch cause you'll get hit.

But yeah, fairly simple. Just interrupt, keep up Rake and Rip. And clear the area prior to engaging. :)

P.S Good to note that even though it is relatively weak compared to other abilities he does, Waterbolt still hurts.

Was able to solo as a lvl 89 Destruction Warlock after dying on 1st try (pet died = I died). After using my soulstone I rebuffed and cleared all adds in the immediate area, this allowed me to start the fight with (glyphed) 4 Burning Embers. Used Voidlord as tank pet and kept Health Funnel (at 40% pet HP at the lowest) on him as much as possible as I realized this was no race as the post above mentioned. I realized I could stand on the edge of my 40 yd range and be just out of range of his Rain Dance. I had 2 different adds join the fight at different times in which I Feared (Glyph of Fear keeps them trembling in place instead of running around gathering more adds) and burned down after getting pets health in a safe place. Have healthstones and master health potion available. Use Dark Soul: Instability when u get ready to burn DPS on him and keep Immoate on him with Fel Flame. Use any "on use" trinkets when available. Chaos bolt and Shadowburn as your Burning Embers will allow it. Do NOT use all Burning Embers as you may need Flames of Xoroth (I did) if your pet dies. Hope this helps!

Soloed on a level 89 Mistweaver monk.

It would be best to clear all of the surrounding mobs... even that annoying turtle. You want to kill the turtle, trust me. Throw down your Jade Serpent Statue and pull with Crackling Jade Lightning for the knock-back. After that, just ignore Water Bolt, interrupt Torrent, and you can use Paralysis and Charging Ox wave during Rain Dance to avoid it all together. Disarm him whenever possible and just keep up your Blackout Kick buff and you'll have him dead in no time.

After he killed my warrior, three times, I got tired of messing about and brought in my Warlcok. Easy fight for 'lock. I'll have to search for him again someday as my warrior.

As my warrior I thought I avoided the torrent in the third fight, but it must've got me because I noticed I was down about 75% after the first time. Then I got whacked by the Rain Dance. Ouch - definitely need your interrupts for that one.

FYI, running away from the torrent doesn't work, not even if you dash when he starts casting and even if if he's SUPER far away by the time the spell goes off. I see it impossible as a balance druid, cause aside from war stomp, the only interrupting effect I have is typhoon and he starts recasting it after being pushed away and thus, being successfully interrupted. So I give up : /

Killed on an 89 hunter with bad quest gear. My pet died twice, on the second death I just kited this guy dead since he was below 20%. The rain dance wont 1 shot you like others here said but if you are not careful it can definitely kill you in a few shots. Overall a pretty easy fight.

I only got the mist amulet and nothing else as a drop.

EASIEST fight with a windwalker monk. just use paralysis to interrupt spellcast :)

Soloed as a lvl 88 Survival Hunter. It was relatively easy after realizing what I had to do. Make sure your pet is specced Tenacity, and make sure you have the Silencing Shot talent. Keep up Mend Pet, run around when he casts Rain Dance, and use Sliencing Shot When he casts Torrent. The cooldown is short enough to where you can keep using it once he casts Torrent again.

I actually totally hate this guy. my DK is ilvl 610 and I pack around 600k HP but it is i-m-p-o-s-s-i-b-l-e to kill this guy. I have tried about 30-40 times but I every time I have to give up. Blizzard please nerf this are ALOT or tell us what the big secret is.

Soloed today (1/18/14) as an 88 Demonology Warlock with 416 iLevel, using the blueberry. Killed all the area adds (though I missed a turtle, which wasn't awesome). Used health funnel to keep the blueberry alive and stayed away from the falling rain drops of death. It took some time, and I did have to get my pet back once, but he died. It wasn't the hardest fight I've encountered. Good luck!

And I got a lousy Suna's Shattered Locket for my trouble.

Just managed to kill him with a lvl 89 windwalker monk.. Mind you I did die a few milliseconds later..

Anyway I ended up using a combo of the following abilities to stun/interrupt him while he was casting Torrent.
Fists of Fury, Spear Hand Strike, Leg Sweep and Touch of Karma
