...nerf hunters.D:
Chrnotic, how little you know. BM is still the most popular hunter tree, you might see more hunters raiding with SV or marks but a lot of these hunters also have a secondary BM spec. BM has solid burst with a ilevel 245+ ranged weapon +10% damage buff at all times.
Whatever you do, don't skin it.
I don't know if I want this guy. Looks like my druid in bear form. I would like to see him/her in person first. My problem is space. I have Aotona ( my first) but Aotona is supposed to look like a Hyacinth and we have a pet hyacinth and a breeding pair, it does not look like a Hyacinth Macaw. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyacinth_MacawThe real ones are all cobalt blue with yellow around the eyes and yellow under the huge black beak. That's it. These birds are huge, but amazingly gentle even in the wild. Picky, I know. It's just pixels on the screen and it is something different than a spirit beast. But it is a bird of prey, in the cunning tree and can be used by other than BM.I have the other 3 SB, just got Skoll last month. I swore I would not tame him because I never liked the look of the worg. But one day I was gathering lichtbloom and there he was. I looked for other hunters in the area and the one I found already had him. Didn't want to see him killed, I tamed him. I do like the color. and he has grown on me. I've had Gondria longer than loque. Gondria is my favorite of the SB. I tamed King Krush on mothers day in '09. Did it solo and it was not something I had planned on. I think because I had a haste potion and haste on my gloves. it may have been the one thing that saved me. I was sure he would kill me. He almost did. To this day the entire incident was a blur. I just remember flying around the apes area and bamn! There he was. My son was in the kitchen and he could have helped me but was not signed on, nor was his character anywhere near that area. I just remember seeing krush shrink and all I could do was sit there and say " I just tamed king krush, I can't believe it". It was about 3:05 am and my son remarked that my icon was flashing and I had about 7% life left. I'm glad I didn't see that before, I would have been even more freaked. So, maybe being mothers day helped. lol. However, KK and gondria are my 2 favs. Krush (Sebastian ) is and will always be my fav. They says moms don't have favorites, and that is true. But when it comes to video games, forget it! Problems, problems! OTOH, this gives me an idea for the suggestion board. Pet adoption. Or pet gifting. The ability to transfer a pet no longer wanted to someone else. Sure, there is room for abuse; such as people taming rares and charging for it. So, it would have to be a gift and something only possible once a month,or less. Tho I doubt bliz has the time to look into something like this when there are so many other things that need fixen'! Like more stable slots! ;) Good luck to all who are looking for Arcturius; there's always the chance I'll be looking one day as well.
I would like to be able to give one of my sp to my sister. good idea. i'm running out of room to. maybe we'll get more stables in next ex pac. yeah, big maybe!
I find it interesting that they are now creating more spirit beasts, especially with this type of model, considering the removal of the ability to tame the Ancient Grimtotem Spirit Guide was in part due to "the undead status of the guide, appearance of the wolf in relation to the feel of the hunter class" (Drysc - Blizz)So they didn't want hunters to have "spirit" pets, especially with that see-thru model, and now they design the same exact thing in a bear version. Not that I'm suggesting they remove any of the spirit beasts or stop coming out with new ones, but they might consider allowing the wolf to be tameable again since it would be ridiculous for them to still claim its appearance/spirit status doesn't "fit in" with the hunter/pet relationship image.
Really, it came down to them making a mistake, that they never really "fixed".1. Some hunters tamed the wolves. Blizz says they didn't intend it, but they weren't going to change it. They later go on to say there are a couple graphical issues they will address in the future.2. They remove the ability to tame them, say people that already have them can keep them because it took a good bit of ingenuity/skill/dedication. Then the excuses I listed in my last post about the "feel" of them.3. Somewhere around the time of #2, Shaman receive ghost wolves as their Enhancement 51-point talent, meaning they'd be a lot less spectacular if every hunter and his mom was running around with one permanently.I don't even play a hunter, but it's pretty clear that their excuse was just that, especially with the newest addition to the spirit beasts.
Only fools never change their minds.
