People realize lore is decided two or three expansions in advance, right? Personally, I like how complexly they've written Sylvanas. She sees her actions as justified through her growing paranoia. She sees the world through her own twisted viewpoint, and seems convinced everyone else will see and act the way she does, including Anduin. Anduin is the opposite side of the spectrum, but is slowly becoming jaded because of her. Stop trashing Golden, people. If you want to blame anyone, blame Steve. He's the head of the writing department, after all.
This is probably the best book Blizzard has written to this day. Great job.
All of the Christie Golden hate really surprises me. Like, do people honestly think she has any control over the story told? She probably just gets an outline, and Blizz says "hey, this is the story we want to tell in novel form." She then writes said novel based on the outline given. You honestly think Blizzard, in regards to WoW, would put their lore in the hands of anyone outside of the team of people that have dedicated to forming it? That's just an idiotic notion all together.
You people keep calling Calia an usurper, I don't think you understand what that means. x.xThe only usurper here is Sylvanas. She used force and stole the territory and even assassinated Calia one of the last few remaining heirs to the throne. That is the definition of an usurper.
why just why this confirms it horde are the bad guy and it sucks
