Legion Artifact Weapon Guide - Early Alpha
Artifacts are a new type of weapon coming in 7.0 World of Warcraft Legion--and no other weapons will drop in Legion. This guide covers what we know about Artifacts that's been revealed at gamescom and BlizzCon 2015.
During BlizzCon 2015, Artifact blogs were posted with information on each spec's artifact weapon. We've compiled these blogs with the general information on how artifacts work that was revealed at gamescom and the BlizzCon Legion Systems Panel, in addition to color and model variations revealed at different panels.
Only Azeroth’s most seasoned veterans possess the fortitude to wield artifacts of legend against the Burning Legion. Your myth-forged weapon grows in power as you do, and your choices will change its abilities and the way it looks, sounds, and feels in combat. Fashion your artifact into the perfect instrument of battle, and guide your faction in its most desperate hour.

BlizzCon 2015 - Legion Panel Liveblog
Welcome to the Liveblog of the Legion Panel at BlizzCon 2015. The Legion panel is now over and there's tons of information on Legion.
Summary
Demon Hunters will have their own unique mount and work closely with Illidan who isn't prepared for their arrival. They will start in Mardum then end up escaping from the Warden's prison.
Val'Sharah
is a druid oriented zone--there will be new models for Druids, including an updated Sea Lion and Moonkin form.
Stormheim
is about the Vyrkul and introduces a new dragonflight, the new stormdragons!
Aszuna
is a ravaged and cursed Night Elf zone. Azshara has devastated it and many of its inhabitants are cursed; there will be new Naga models, new male Banshees, and more.
Highmountain
is an earthy zone, focused around the Tauren. Unique, new models for Tauren exist and all the creatures, including copious Harpies and moose, are very aggressive and strong compared to usual.
Suramar
is a destroyed land with a city that remained pristine through magic--the Nightwell powered and protected it. As such, the inhabitants are addicted to its energy. Known as the Nightborne, they are allied with the legion. They exile some of their kin who become depraved lunatics without the Nightwell's support, eventually becoming withered.
There will be two raids (The Emerald Nightmare and the Palace of Suramar). Players will face Cenarius, Xavius, and a blighted dragon.
All leveling is scaled: zones can be approached at any level and will scale naturally, leading everyone to Suramar for 110. This lets the player pick their path.
There will be ten dungeons, five of which will scale and five which will be end-game.
Challenge modes are redone and will be less about rushing to completion and more about an actual challenge! There will be random buffs added to make it more challenger, e.g. periodic damage throughout the dungeon or extra damage from mobs. Gear will no longer be downscaled and there will not be gold, silver, etc ranks any longer.

BlizzCon Q&A Panel Poll, BlizzCon® 2015 Guide Mobile App, Q3 2015 Subscribers at 5.5 Million
Q3 2015 Earnings
The
press release
for the Q3 2015 Activision Blizzard Earnings Call has been posted in advance. Here's what's new with
World of Warcraft
:
World of Warcraft® subscriptions remained relatively stable, ending the quarter at 5.5 million subscribers. Players are excited about the upcoming expansion, Legion™, which will feature a new class, customizable Artifact weapons, class order halls, and much more. World of Warcraft remains the No. 1 subscription‐based MMORPG in the world.
Warcraft is down 100k subscribers from
Q2 2015
, which is a small loss after the dramatic losses earlier in Warlords of Draenor.
Blizzard has confirmed to
Gamespot
that this is the final time they will release subscriber numbers:
"Note that this is the last quarter that we plan to provide subscriber numbers," the company said. "There are other metrics that are better indicators of the overall Blizzard business performance."
Instead, Activision Blizzard will use other unspecified "engagement" metrics to talk about the health of WoW. These were not detailed during the earnings call where the announcement was made on November 3.
Keep reading for additional news, including BlizzCon Q&A Polls and information on the BlizzCon Mobile App.

Legion Panel at Dragon Con Highlights
Elvine
and
MMO Central Events
attended the WoW Panel at
Dragon Con
and livetweeted the new information presented by Senior Game Designer
Jonathan LeCraft
. Check our their twitters for more Dragon Con information and our
Legion Guide
for previously-revealed information at gamescom!
Highlights include the following:
Demon Hunters currently planned to start at 98.
Demon Hunters can use 1H Swords, in addition to Glaives.
Demon Hunter Metamorphosis is a short transformation with inner demon visuals, not continuous form.
Multistrike is gone, other secondary/tertiary stats are changed.
Profession updates - very little or no cooldown gated profession materials for crafting.
Stage Upgrades work differently - destroy old item, get Obliterium material to create better item.
Transmog system in Legion is similar to Diablo and possibly account-wide.
No extra Void Storage tab planned--transmog system should help with bag space.
Classes in Legion emphasize fantasy of specs and some are even getting renamed.
Survival Hunters, who are melee in Legion, get Harpoon ability to draw mobs towards them.
Adventure Mode may be coming to Legion - no details, but something that may be discussed at BlizzCon.
A previous tweet stated no major glyphs, but was clarified to say there were simply no
new
major glyphs.
