The Horde Faction Guardian NPC in Ashran. Summoned by Atomik in exchange for 3,000 x Artifact Fragment.

While active, Kronus will jump to whichever base is currently contested, and can be pulled back and forward by capturing and losing bases, regardless of any current combat he may be involved in.
A massive powerhouse of damage, and fully buffable and healable by players. Healers should keep him alive at all costs.
Provides a huge advantage to the Horde when he's active, and the main way to counter Fangraal. If Fangraal is overwhelming your defences, get everyone to gather Artifact Fragments and turn them in to summon Kronus.
Kronus' health scales based on the number of enemy players active at the time when he is summoned.
If both Kronus and Fangraal are active at the same time, they can and will attack each other. In this case be sure to heal and defend Kronus. You can then focus on nuking Fangraal, or start pushing back the enemy players, but be sure to keep Kronus alive.
Uses various attacks, but also Stone Empowerment to gain protection from slaying nearby characters, player or NPC.
Similar to Lokholar the Ice Lord from Alterac Valley of yore. Starts life as Underpowered Earth Fury.

Kronus can be healed and buffed by players.

Horde gets Kronus, lives for 2+ hours cause he never moves from spawn.
Alliance gets tree, instantly kills 60 people.

So, as I can see, Horde gets an earthguardian which potentially can take 90% less damage, and Alliance gets a huge Tree, which in general makes treants run rampart as he summons one every time a Horde Player is killed near him. Those treants then run and hit for ~30k on clothies, and has about 300k health I think.

Kronus sauntered into Stormshield nervously, this was the big day that he would finally get to meet his long lost high school crush, Fangraal. It had been so long since they last met in the Crossroads so many years ago, it had felt like an eternity that Kronus spent on the bridge of Stormshield, kept away from his long lost love, but tonight, no one would keep him from Fangraal.

"F-Fangraal-san..." Kronus said with a nervous tone in his voice. "I..." he shuffled nervously, avoiding eye contact, biting his lip as he thought of what to say, completely lost for words. "I-It's been so lo-" just then, Fangraal immediately stepped forward, wrapping his tree arms around Kronus' rocky body, an embrace the two had not felt since Kor'lok was summoned.

"No one will take you from me anymore, Kronus." Fangraal said with a stern voice, causing Kronus to tear up and then start crying heavy boulder tears which fell to the ground, crushing several players, killing them instantly. "B-But Fangraal!.." Kronus said, feeling like his heart was in his throat. "I-It can never be... we... we were born to destroy each other!"

Fangraal stepped back, wiping a tear from Kronus' eye, staring at him with a sorrowful, yet strong expression. "The circumstances of one's birth is irrelevant, Kronus... It is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are." And with that, Kronus stepped away from Fangraal, resetting back to full health for no reason, locking his tear filled eyes with Fangraal's, watching his health wither away as the Alliance retreated away from him.

Kronus watched helplessly in despair as his lost love was torn apart by his very allies that created him, as Fangraal's health went below 20% and soul reapers filled his debuff frame. "NO! FANGRAAL!" he screamed, rushing towards him to try and save him as Fangraal gathered the last bit of his strength, extending his arm outwards to halt Kronus. "N-No... it... it is too late for me... my love..." he said with a weak and shaky voice, falling to the ground as the last bit of his life ebbed away from him. "Y-You must go on, Kronus... you must be strong... for both of us..."

Kronus dropped to his knees, sobbing as he grabbed Fangraal by the shoulders, lifting him up into his lap to stare into his fading eyes. "P-Please no, don't leave me! You're all that I have!" tears fell across Fangraal's face as he began to fall into pieces. "... Be strong..." he said with his dying breath, falling limp in Kronus' arms.

Has been slain by the Horde!

Kronus held the body of his lost love in his arms for what seemed like an eternity as the Horde battled with Grand Marshal Tremblade, causing her to reset multiple times, but inevitably and miraculously defeating her. Kronus finally stood up, pacing slowly out of Stormshield and back to the Crossroads, where the two star-crossed lovers had first met. Marching slowly to the flag with his head hung low before turning around to face the hundreds of enemies of an empty battle that he was destined to fight again and again, until the end of time, alone, all the while, that one phrase repeated itself in his head.

"Be strong."

As a member of the alliance, killing this NPC awards 25 Conquest Points and 75 Honor Points to every alliance player currently in Ashran!

The NPCs I've seen so far that award CP are:

Gayle Plagueheart at Molten Quarry.
Zaram Sunraiser at Ashmaul Burial Grounds.
Muk'mar Raz at Seat of Kor'lok. Announced by Kor'lok yelling: I have returned! Submit, peasants, to the might of the great Ogre Empire!
Ilya Plagueheart at Amphitheater of Annihilation.
Kronus at main road.

If you're in Ashran to earn Conquest Points, make sure you pick up Slay Them All! and Ashran Dominance or Continue the Domination. All of these quests are autoaccepted, but now and then the autocomplete bugs so you'll have to click manually to complete.

Then

Follow your raid group and finish the objectives in Ashran; killing the horde leader and winning the events.
Pay attention to when the Kor'lok-event is available.
Kill horde players and have fun.
Whenever you're close to MQ, ABG and AoA, or when there's nothing much going on, check if Gayle, Ilya and Zaram are present.
