It wasn't very obvious, as what I had to do, but after some time, about a minute or two, the attacking mobs just spawned.

After ~15min nothing happend. I couldn't investigate anything and no attack was going on. Tried to reset and accept quest again twice ..... nothing. After the third time I accepted and didnt do anything an ~7/8 min later I was attacked. FYI those witches just have a lot of hp.

Like Mentioned by Cetraben this quest seems to be bugged if your in a grouip.

I lagged behind my friends in this quest after they fought the adds and the NPCs just stood there with no way to activate the quest again. What fixed it for me was leaving my party and then abandoning and grabbing the quest again. Hope that helps.

This quest appears to be broken, or subject to glitches. I had 2 sets of 2 spawn on me for the first group, and the second group spawned in directly after. I got creamed, and had to run back as a ghost to finish them off. I did not get any loot from these either. When the final witch spawned, she did stupid amounts of damage without actually attacking my character. Meanwhile Eitrigg was doing zero damage, and the goblin did nothing at all. What the !@#$ Blizzard

If you have trouble with the last hottie, as I did in melee range, make sure you stay out of the little dark splashes she throws down as she puppets Gallywix around. I had zero problem when I avoided the dark magic pedicure.

This is a horrific quest before Level 120. Honestly, the whole questline is very poorly executed and inconvenient, but this stands out as a particularly poor design for casual solo players and squishy classes. Few things:
- If you are stealthed, the mobs will fixate you anyways and break stealth during initial spawn. RIP 2/3 rogue specs & Feral Druids.
- As a rogue, vanishing out of the first two mob groups works; the third one can self-heal so she can theoretically torment Gallywix for eternity. One day, on an alt, I might see how long that lasts.
- The two helpers collectively manage about 1% hp every 3-5 seconds. They're useless unless you play rogue and can vanish.
- They all hit extremely hard. Seriously, I spec-swapped to Outlaw halfway through (the rogue spec with the most survivability) and even then every mob was capable of dropping me to <30% health in under 5 seconds.
- If you die near the end of the last mob (who can kill a squishy class from full HP in under 3 seconds), you autofail the quest, even if the two "helpers" finish her off.

General advice would be to drop 100g on healing potions and save your survivability cooldowns. I figured it out after 3 deaths in 2 different specs, quick hearth back to Org, a return with potions, and 2 more deaths. My strategy in the end was to tag the mobs, vanish, go to the bathroom for two minutes (for Vanish to go off CD), and come back. Ambush and DPS if needed. Rinse and repeat for second group. Vanish after the mini-dungeon boss spawns, heal up, wait for vanish CD to recover while helpers built threat, and ambush/DPS/interrupt as much as possible until she aggro'd me, at which point I vanished to lose threat. Re-ambush, DPS, pop survivability cooldowns, and she died with me at 5% health.

But the best approach to this quest overall is to not play solo, since this quest was clearly designed for tanks or groups with a tank. Hopefully others don't struggle as much with this quest.

Okay, so I am a little late to the party here, but I figured I would leave some advice for people that are leveling characters before SL or just recently hit 120. I attempted to fight the witches with my Heirloom gear still equipped. I had been saving some Azerite armor for when I hit 120 since I wanted that sweet 30% bonus that HG provides. I attempted this twice with HG and after dying both times I switched to the Azerite gear, slotted traits, and whooped those witches. The first two times I had used potions, the third time I didn't have to use a potion. Hopefully this helps someone!

Also, quick side note… if you die and for some reason one of the waves does not spawn and attack, just abandon the quest and restart it. You will not have to revisit each of the bodies; you will just start at the point where you walk up to that camp!

In my first attempt, I died near the end of the third wave (solo witch) and didn't make it back in time to finish her off. On my second attempt, I died early in the third round and got back in time and had full to finish her off.

The witches in the wave have obscene amounts of HP. I have 20k with heirloom, they have 55k each.
