I'm curious to know if we can just plop this down in a quest hub. Takes 3 bearers to keep the up time at max and if this also applies to quest experience, it might be useful for coordinated questing.

What i am wondering is... is this stackable? i imagine its not but just wondering cause if this does as leveling with a friend u got the 35% bonus from gear counting cata/wotlk if it still gives xp bonus along with another 6% from banner, theres 41% and if u were lucky enough to win the ring from the fishing tourney in wotlk thats 46% or so give or take...... in saying that if ur friend had another one thats 52% along with what the guild has done i mean ur literally leveling at twice the rate.. which is nice becuase of the new characters.

This appears to work just fine on killing things for rep in instances but doesn't add any rep gain to quest turn ins.

Would this item stack in bgs for increased honor gain? If not can we stack different banners such as banner of cooperation, battle standard of coordination and standard of unity?

Using Battle Standard of Coordination causes a 10 minute cooldown to itself and a 2 minute cooldown to Standard of Unity and Banner of Cooperation.

So you won't be able to stack them at the same time but you could stack them one right after the other. 2 minutes should also be plenty of time between boss pulls too.

This doesn't change the Reputation you gain from turning in quests, so it probably doesn't change the experience you gain from turning in quests as well. So don't get your hopes up if you were hoping for a 15% bonus rep/exp from quests :(

But yes you SHOULD buy all 3 of these. During the 8min CD of the 15% flag you could spend 2 mins with 10% and 2 mins with 5%. This means that you could have a buff active 6 out of every 10mins, as opposed to just 2 out of every 10mins.

Let me try to answer all possible questions.

It is not consumed when used. Buy it once, use it forever.
It works on all guildmates, even those who are not in your group.
It only increases gains that occur from kills. So xp, rep, and honor gains from KILLS ONLY are increased. This does, however, extend to bosses. It does not extend to quests, either normal or daily. It does not extend to bonus honor gained from any method other than kills.
Due to the internal nature of the way that Guild rep works, Guild rep does not actually trigger on a 'kill': it triggers on completing a 'criteria'. Even if that 'criteria' is to 'kill' something in a guild group, such as a boss in a heroic run or raid, the mechanics of Guild rep means that the banner will not increase it, even from 'kills.' It's unclear if this is intended or not or if it will be 'fixed' in a future patch. Every other rep possible to be gained from a kill (including those triggered/adjusted by tabards) works with this banner fine.
It does not stack with other guildmates' banners, or other guilds' banners, etc. However, the more of your guildmates that have one, the more likely that one of you will be able to place one when the others have theirs on cooldown.
Does not activate global cooldown as it is an item, so can be used in macros fairly well. (/use itemname)

I can see the most common use of this item being plopping it down right before a boss that gives rep is killed. For instance, those who grind reps can plop this down right before a boss in a heroic run. Depending on how long the run takes they could do it multiple times in one run, or other guildies can use theirs on other bosses. This works with all tabards (except Guild rep tabards), and also works with rep from kills that don't require tabards, for instance Classic and BC raid zones which give rep. I used mine on as many Molten Core bosses as I could when I was farming it. Every little bit shaved off that grind helps.

The second most common use will be in PvP (although for those more PvP oriented, this will probably be their most common use). When defending an objective, especially in a place like Tol Barad or any place a large amount of kills occur in the same spot, plop it down for the extra honor. The banner cannot be targeted or killed by the enemy faction, but if they kill you, your banner gets removed. (The banner disappears if you go an extended distance from it, or die.)

Finally, I expect the least common use will be when leveling or grinding a rep from killing small trash mobs. Unless you're in a group with other guildies who will use their banners too, or you spend extra time and effort to stay with your banner, you will only have periodic coverage. However, since you can macro it into a spell, you can use it on cooldown without really paying attention and pretty much forget you even have it. You'll occasionally get some extra rep or xp, but it won't be a constant benefit. If this is all you plan to use it for, the item's really not worth it, but if you're already carrying it around for one of the first two reasons, you may as well use it for this too.

Oh. And it makes for good screenshots too, especially for 'first kill' screenshots for your guild's raids. ^_^

If you want to make sure your Banners are used whenever possible, use this macro:

/script UIErrorsFrame:Show()
/cast 'Insert spell'

I used mine with Mutilate, bind it do an often used spell and you should be fine :)

I filtered out the errors, since I don't like them!

I found out today that the reputation bonus is multiplicative with other effects.
For example: A mob that ordinarily gives 100 rep gives 126.5 rep with both this standard and the guild perk rep bonus.
Haven't tested it with the human rep bonus.

From what I can gather above, aparently you can use it for bosses.
I've tried using it with Beth'tilac and Shannox and get a message saying "You can't use that here" (or something along those lines).
Will this only work for Zandoms (Zalandari Random Heroics) / Other DUNGEONS not raids.
Any comfirmation on this or do I need to buy a new one?

Come patch v4.3 this items stats change from

45 yards range to 100 yards range.
2 minutes duration to 15 minutes duration.
Cooldown remains the same at 10 minutes.

Since most fights last less than 15 mins you can pretty much put this down at every pull and not have to worry about forgeting it.
Even if a fight lasts longer than 15 mins you can cast it again since the cooldown on it its 10 mins.

Great change blizz.

I have to admit, I'm a little confused as to why an item that requires Friendly to use can only be purchased at Honoured or above. It's also a bit annoying that by the time you are honoured with the guild you'd probably be close to the maximum level, if my level 69 Druid who just hit Friendly is any indication.

If all affected people leave the 100 yard radius, the Battle Standard of Coordination despawns; however, if you take an arena queue with your Battle Standard of Coordination up, it does not consider you to have left the radius and will still be there when you get back out of the arena.

So, if you're, say, grinding Steamwheedle rep at Lost Rigger Cove between arena pops, it's still worth it to drop your Battle Standard of Coordination on the campfire in the middle of the north camp.

An excellent item when farming old raids and instances where you can gather all the mobs up, drop down the banner and voila collect your 15% increased reputation. Especially useful in places such as black temple, hyjal where there is a lot of mobs you can just collect and aoe.

To all you people that have been struggling with the issue of the flag disapearing if you move too far away from it, I was gonna use it myself in a dungeon to farm reputation and I was gonna pull mobs to it since they were more than 100 yards away from it, though when I came to the flag with a pack of mobs it was gone...so anyways I contacted a GM about this and he told me it's a known issue that they are trying to fix and it is NOT intended that the flag shall disapear even if you move more than 100 yards from it, even if you would say put it in Orgrimmar and then take the zeppelin to Undercity and then HS back it shall still be there. Really annoying bug though :(
